The Adam For WNC campaign announces that Morgan Mayo has been hired as finance director

 For Immediate Release:  Thursday, January 11

    Adam Tebrugge, Democratic nominee for North Carolina Senate District 50, announces that he has hired Morgan Mayo as finance director of his campaign. “By hiring a true professional like Morgan, this campaign is demonstrating that we intend to have the resources to compete for every vote in Western North Carolina. We will now launch our fundraising efforts from a strong position.”


   Morgan Mayo brings more than ten years of experience in fundraising and resource development to the position. She has worked in a development capacity at a variety of nonprofits throughout the Southeast, including: the Asheville Art Museum, WINGS for Kids, and the Community Foundation of Henderson County. Most recently, Morgan was employed as the Director of Development at the Python Software Foundation. 


     Mayo completed her B.A. at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC in 2013 and her M.A.  at Queen’s University in Belfast, United Kingdom in 2016. She is currently completing her PhD at the University of Galway in Ireland. Her research focuses on the rural economic networks of under-represented communities in the American South in the 19th and 20th centuries.
